October Newsletters

Marina Hills 25th October 2016

Hi to all around the Globe,

The majority of the tourer players from Thailand have returned back to the Philippines after 2 weeks of playing some incredible golf courses and with some stories to share.

We were sadden to be in Thailand at the time of  the Thai King passing, but it’s something we will always remember where we were at that time.

So today our numbers were boosted to 22 players, thanks to Keith Sparks for all the work he did whilst we were away looking after the running of the club. The competition today was a stableford event.

The course in still suffering from a long drawn out wet season damp and some of the fairways had not been mowed.

Marina Hills 4th October 2016

Hi to all around the Globe,

Today we held out October monthly medal, 29 players came out to play in the mud.  It was tough going today even trying to find your ball in the middle of the fairway was a challenge.  There were only a few players that equalled or broke par with their handicaps and as I am writing this, the skies have opened up once again and it’s bucketing down.  This has been a long wet season this year.

Next week is the start of the Thai Tournament, during the first week 30 players will compete at 5 different courses and the second week we have a full group of 32 players, who have travelled from Philippines, Australia, USA and South Africa to take part, I wish you all safe travel and look forward to seeing you in Thailand.

Thanks to Keith Sparks who will look after the tournament at Marina over the next few weeks.
