Hi to all around the Globe,
Today we had 32 players turn up for a stableford match, after many games of stroke I think everyone was happy to play something different.
There were 8 new and returning golfers that also played today so welcome back and thank you for supporting our club. It was uncomfortable at Moons bar today having to share it with another group of customers at the same time and with 32 players it was hot and crowded, Warwick and John having been negotiating some new plans for next year to change some of our presentation bars so I look forward to letting you all know after the Christmas Party about of schedule for next year.
Steve Arnold is continuing his recent form winning the A Grade with 39 points on a count back from Steve March, whilst in the B Grade Brendan Anderson had a ripper of a game with 44 points and Joe Giovenco continuing his good forum winning runner up 39 points, well done guys and congratulations.

Today we had 28 players turn up to play the cancelled September Monthly Medal, at the moment it seems like one stroke game after another, but next week we can have a rest we will be holding a stableford event before heading into the last Monthly Medal for the year.
The course is looking great at the moment but its still a challenge, the greens were ok. Congratulations to Steve Arnold and Col Clarke winning their first monthly medal for 2017.

Today we had 34 players turn up to play the August Monthly Medal that was cancelled due to weather and next week we will play the September Monthly Medal also cancelled due to wet weather.
The course looked great today they are slowly getting on top of the mowing the greens were receptive but a little unpredictable. Marina was a bit short on caddies today I think they were surprised at the numbers that showed up today, thank you to the players for being patient particularly the group of visitors that came along today.
The update for the Championship will be posted shortly it will show the 10 rounds that have been played so far.

Hi to all around the Globe,
Well we are now into November so there is a lot happening in the next 8 weeks, whilst today was our November Monthly Medal, we are now playing catch up for the Monthly Medals we have missed in August and September so the next two games at Marina Hills are both Monthly Medals.
We will also be asking if anyone is interested in joining the committee next year, whilst some people are happy to just turn up and play every Tuesday there is a lot of work that goes into organising our yearly tournaments, presentation bar, newsletters, trips and starting the field.
If you do put your hand up to join the committee please be aware that there is an expectation that you will assist in the tasks that have to been done for our club to exist, it cant be done by one or two people.
25 Players today, November Monthly Medal once again only saw a couple of low scores but in A Grade a good round by Dave Paliwoda nett 65 and in B Grade Joe Giovenco nett 71, well done to both of you.
The course well it was a bit soft because we have had more rain the greens OK but very bumpy so good luck with your putts.

Special Noitce: Next week the ASEAN summit will be held on the base any players who use the road on the base that runs from SM to Mabalacat Gate, be advised that this will become the major access to the base for all traffic during the Asean Summit the main gates will not be able to be used.
