Beverly Place Golf Club – 18th September 2018
Hi to all around the Globe,
Everyone survived the Typhoon in fact there was very little impact here in Angeles City, but the rain that we did have still stops us from playing at Marina Hills, I cant really see us playing out there for a couple of more weeks.
We had 20 players go down to Beverly for a stableford competition course was great and the sunny sky was a nice change.

2nd Daniel Brias 40 pts
3rd Warwick Sharpe 39 Pts
Naga Winner Dave Walter 25pts
Pool Comp Anthony Cullen defeated Warwick Sharpe in the pool this is not a typo.
Next Week the presentation Bar will be Gentlemens

Beverly Place Golf Club – 4th September 2018
Hi to all around the Globe,
Today we had 19 players who went out to Beverly for a hit, the course was in good condition the weather was really good we even had blue sky for all of the round a rare event at the moment.
No monthly medal today due to Marina Hills being unplayable so we had a stableford event at Beverly, Little Johnny Cummins (LJC) had a wonderful round today scoring 46 stableford points but not without some drama half way through his round.
So LJC teed off on the 10th hole this morning had a good first nine and on the par 5 1st Hole found his ball positioned at the edge of the water hazard just in front of the green, this hazard has very steep banks and LJC’s ball was about half way down the slope. LJC took out his driver and took his one club relief, but it didnt quite get him to the top of the slope the ball was still slighty on the down slope, a tough shot for many but it wasnt going to stop Little Johnny, with club in hand he positioned himself ready to hit the ball and as he swung down he made good contact on the ball but the momentum of his swing cause his body to move forward, posed on the brink off falling into the water he could only do one thing to prevent going for a swim, He did the Turtle yes folks the Turtle threw himself up into the air legs and arms out stretched frantically waving in the air to throw himself back from the water and onto his back, and they were still going when he landed and then of course the struggle came to get back on his feet his caddy screaming Sir Sir are you alright Sir let me help you, but in LJC style got up dusted himself off had a bit of a laugh and continued his get round to win with 46 points what a guy almost 71 years of age and has the speed and agility of a Cheetah well maybe an elephant anyway he didnt get wet. Congratulations John its great to see you alive and healthy.
