Newsletters – August 2018

28th August – Beverley Place Golf Club

Hi to all around the world,

Well the wet season has continued and no play at Marina, but 15 of us headed out to Beverley for a hit and its the first time I have ever seen Beverley struggle to stay dry, it was very wet in places and if you got near the drainage on the fairways you could hear the water still running. We actually saw blue sky for the first time in a few weeks.

So with 15 players we were able to declare a competition.

Winner Daniel Brias 45 pts

Runner Up – Jonas Flanagan 38pt OCB

Third – Bob Taylor 38 pts

Steve Turner won the pool comp at Honey Ko’s defeating Jonas Flanagan.

Check the website for information about next week.

7th August – Beverley Place Golf Club

Hi to all around the World,

Very short newsletter today, we had only 9 players go to Beverley for a game due to the current condition of Marina Hills, because we didnt have more than 10 players its not officially declared as a competition, but we had a good day stayed out of the rain and it was very enjoyable.

So what happens when a monthly medal is cancelled, well it will be played late in the year when Marina Hills is at its best, last year we decided to play them in November and that will probably be the case again this year.

We headed off to Gentlemens for presentation at 14 members turned up for afternoon drinks and the pool comp, Terry Kerim defeated Bod Taylor in a single match final in the pool but then Terry through out a challenge to take his title, so I took up the challenge well the rest is history really Anthony defeated Terry in the challenge.

I will give you details of the game and presentation bar in the Advisory Notice later in the week.
