Hi to all our readers around the world,

Today 14 members played a Stableford game on Tuesday for a change, due to a tournament being scheduled for Beverly Place on the Wednesday. True to form many were held up by the very slow “Pogi Boys” by taking about 5 hours to complete their game. This totally vindicates our decision to play, when possible, on Wednesdays.

Regarding the course, well the “Greens” were good and the “Fairways” good but soft, and although your scribe was not there conditions must have been a little difficult as not one golfer managed to get to the par of 36 points!

After the golf we were joined by a couple of members who although they did not play for whatever reasons, graced us with their presence for pool and suitable libations at Eruptions. Talking about pool there is a note about “Pool Etiquette” below.

Ben Ros defeated Phil Nelson

Note: The game we play is 8-Ball American Pool to WPA rules. Deliberate short-shot snookering is considered as ungentlemanly conduct. Some of our pool players may not be aware of this so please note…..no deliberate short-shot snookering, this is not part of the game..
