Newsletter – October 2, 2019

Hi to all our readers around the world,

Today was the 1st Tuesday in the month which saw 19 BSGC avid golfers compete for the October Monthly Medal. Both the “greens” and “fairways” were, as usual, good with the early morning dew on the greens drying out considerably for the back nines.

We were lucky this week as no “pogi” groups got in our way and we all finished our rounds by 11:00am. There were some very good scores, especially in the B-Grade, and some surprises (see results) and a good days golfing had by all.

Our presentation bar this week was “Emotions” where the beer flowed whilst the pool was being played. Sad to say but Honey Ko’s, as reported the other week, has jacked up their prices way above our budget and is now off our list of bars. In its place we will use Baby Dolls twice a month from now on.

Incidentally a few of us checked out Marina Hills early in the week, sad to say it is a total mess and an air of apathy surrounds the place. If they want us back they seriously need to put some effort into making it playable.

Finally, a bunch of golfers are now off to Thailand for the next two weeks for the annual tour. Feedback from that event will be posted on this web site as and when received so check it out every couple of days or so from the Home Page.
