December Newsletters 2017

Marina Hills – 26th December 2017

Hi to all around the Globe,

Well it’s the last game of 2017, we had 21 players today so I think there are a few still recovering from Christmas Day.  I trust you all had a great Christmas with your families and friends I hope Santa was kind to you all.

The course was in good condition starting to get a little extra roll now the greens were ok. We played a lone ranger event today and we ended up with a few odd numbered teams out there, so the scores are quite different from the winners to the losers.

Welcome back Ben Ros and a new player Garry Johnson.

The 2018 schedule will be posted shortly we are just finalising the last few games.

In 2018 the division between A Grade and B Grade will change from 0 – 18 to 0 – 22 the reason for the change is the uneven number of players in each division.

A Grade 0 – 22

B Grade 23 – 36

Rule Clarification Hole No. 7 / 16

The left side of the fairway which includes the ditch up to the drain that crosses the fairway is GUR you may take a free drop as long as your ball remains in play and does not go out of bounds.

Your ball does not have to be found but the marker of your scorecard must agree the ball remained inbounds.

Hi to all around the Globe,

Well with Christmas not to far away we played our last Monthly Medal for the year today. Today 34 players turned out at Marina a really good roll up the course is looking good, most of the rough has been cut down or burned off but there are still areas that can catch you out if your not on the fairway.

Some goods scores today from some of our players Warwick chimming in with a Gross 80 Nett 66 to win his third Monthly Medal for the year, he has certainly stamped his name on this year’s Monthly Medals. David Paliwoda who had a great eagle on the 14th Hole Par 5 chipped it in on his approach.
