Marina Hills – 27th December 2016
Hi to all around the Globe,
Today is our last game for 2016, we only had 18 players today I think maybe a few are still getting over their Christmas Day. We played a 3 man stableford lone ranger event for our last event.
The course was in good condition we had a little rain a few days ago and the course is still nice and green, most of the mango trees have been cut right back so the rules are changing next year you will not see the mango tree rule in play next year, also the caddies can not move the ball next year unless under the instruction of the player if caddies move the ball prior to the player telling them it will cause the player a 2 shot penalty. Please tell your caddies not to touch the ball or move it until you tell me.
Whilst the Committee makes it decisions concerning the operation of the club in the best interest of the players, we welcome any ideas or suggestions from players for improvements your welcome to contact us by using the balibagosocialgolfclub@gmail.com.

Hi to All around the Globe,
As this year draws to a close I want to share with you some of the Club’s milestones for 2016.
- The Club designed, built and implemented a new website in July this year, to date our website has been visited from:
- 17 countries
- over 10,000 views
- over 1200 visitors
- We have continued to use our face book page with the average posting reaching over 150 people.
- We successful organized three trips this year. The Cliffs in February and July and our yearly trip to Thailand in October.
- Our club retained the Wayne Rush Trophy.
- Weather prevented us from playing for 3 consecutive weeks, first time in the clubs history.
- The club has also seen many new players joining us this year.
I have enjoyed working with the committee this year and for a small social golf club, we can all be veery proud of our achievements.
As the year draws to a close, I would like to say thank you to the committee members who are leaving us this year.
Thank you to Eric Brown for your involvement and assistance throughout the year.
A special thank you to Freddy who for 5 years has been on both the BSGC Committee and also on the Thailand Match Committee. Fred has done a great job for our club, we like to tease Fred a lot but please know that the work you did for the club was greatly appreciated and you will be sadly missed.
Christmas Party
Our Christmas party was held at the Wild Orchid again this year and we had 52 players and guests who attended the party. We had a Christmas dinner of Turkey, Ham, Chicken with lots of other salads followed by apple pie and ice cream. Great night had by all.
Thank you to everyone that came along and supported our club, we had over 90 prizes in the draw and this year we held a Christmas raffle with 10 really great prizes. A special thank you to all of the players that donated gifts to the club without your generosity we wouldn’t be able to hand out so many prizes, all the players and members went home with at least three gifts each.
Our Competition Results for today match.
Today was our second stroke game for this month to determine the Medal of Medals Champion for 2016, we had 32 players attend our competition today, and 16 of those players were eligible to win the Medal of Medals Champion. The course was in good condition and the weather remained overcast during our game.
