There were 14 players had a hit at Beverly, and whilst it was interupted by rain most of the players managed to finish 18 holes.

Welcome back to Joe Souchak who is around until we go to Thailand, great to have you back Joe.

Next Tuesday it will be Monthyl Medal at Marina, but I very much doubt it please keep up to date with information on our website and facebook about future games.

Beverly Place Golf Club – 15th August

Hi to all around the Globe,

Marina Hills is still unplayable, so it was of to Beverly Place again this week for a stableford round with 17 players driving down to Beverly for a game.  The course is in really good condition at the moment and of course that is directly reflected in the scores being shot by all the players, plus some of the generous handicaps players receive at Beverley.  The handicap system is different to Marina it’s designed to give everyone the opportunity to have a win.

WINNERS

1st  Les Greentree 45 points

2nd Steve Arnold 44 points

3rd Dave Walters 43 points

At the moment Marina Hills is struggling its so wet they can’t cut the grass of course this makes it difficult for the sun to get down and dry the course out, I advise everyone to check facebook and the website for further announcements about our competitions.

I was also told that next month the Mimosa Seniors will be holding a competition at Pradera Verde instead of Mimosa that would be a great opportunity for another game at Pradera Verde, so I will let you know whe I find out more information.

Pool Comp Dave Paliwoda defeated Dave Waters.

If Marina is playable next week it will be the Monthly Medal and going to Gentlemen’s for presentation.

Beverly Place Golf Club – 8th August

Marina Hills – 1st August

Hi to all around the Globe,

Well normally today I would be telling you about our Monthly Medal, but due to alot of rain recently Marina Hills was unplayable, so we made a decision early to cancel the Monthly Medal and for any players interested an alternative game was played at Beverley Place with 15 players turning up for a stableford event.

Beverley handles the wet weather well but even the fairways at Beverley were a bit soft, but there were some great scores.  There was no A or B grade just winner, runner up and second runner up or in aussie terms third place.

NEXT WEEK’S COMPETITION  “RULES”

All bunkers as GUR you can lift your ball out of the bunker and place it out of the bunker without penalty however you must keep the bunker in between you and the green you are not permitted to drop the ball on the side of the bunker closest the green.

If you lose a ball on the fairway because it has plugged and the marker of your card agrees then you may take a free drop without penalty in the location where you believe the ball was plugged.
