Well, the golf is over for this trip and we gathered for the usual wind up and awarding of Tournament trophies for 2025 in the restaurant of the The One Hotel Baybreeze with some snacks, a few drinks, swing videos etc.
A special award was given to Scott Mathany remembering Nobby O’Connor and John Sourk who would be proud of his ability to play all 10 days while keeping the Heineken Brewery flat out.
The player of the tournament was:
Runner Up with 2 wins, 1 runner up, 6 NTP’s and 9 days attendance was Alan Williams.
Winner with 3 wins, 3 runner up, 4 NTP and 10 days attendance was Fernando Ada, Congratulations to both on playing well through the whole 2 weeks.
The President’s International Shield, Australia v/s The Rest of the World was won by Australia this year. That closed off the trip but hopefully we can meet again next year in time to start play on Monday 12 October 2026. Safe travels to all.

Lone Ranger Stableford (Remembering Hans Hauser)At Mountain Shadow Golf Club.
Never knowing what to expect from this golf course we were pleasantly surprized to find the course, although not to standard of some of the courses we had played, was in good shape considering the recent rains. The sight of some brand-new equipment, (greens mower, fairway mowers and digger) gives hope that they are spending money to upgrade this course but at the moment for 1250 BAHT was well worth the trip. There was no picking pretty caddy’s today as they were still the original caddys that started some 35 years ago. We had 18 players once again, so finished with a twosome leading the pack playing for NTP’s only and 4 x four ball flights contesting the Lone ranger format,

Today was another fine and sunny day with a cooling breeze as we once again departed on the bus from the hotel at 07:00 heading towards Pattavia Golf club which is located amidst the pineapple plantations about one hour away.
Once again, the course was well presented as we played single Stableford for the last time on this trip.
The handicapping was catching up with most of the players as good but no outrageous scores were recorded.

2025 Stableford @ Eastern Star Golf Club
16 players turned out to travel to the Ban Chan area to play Eastern Star course. We got word that there was heavy rain in Pattaya but no rain fell on the course. We found some new temples on the way back to Pattaya where some of the guys paid homage. Results were as follows:

Tuesday 21st October, 2025
4BBB team Play against Durty Nellie’s Bar with a single Stableford event as well.
Following the washout of this game in 2024 we were hopping for better weather this year, which it was, a little hot but all in all a good day for golf.
2 flights of 4 presented to the starter for a 7 hole shot gun start and their were 5 players from Durty Nellie’s who played for BSGC to even out the flights.
Unfortunately, we lost the team event this year With Durty Nellie’s winning 6 games, BSGC won 3, and 3 games drawn but most games were very closely contested and played in good spirits.
Again unfortunately we were not able to secure any placings in the Stableford event however Brendon Andersen picked up the NTP on Hole 12 and Mike Harvey picked up some prize money in the ‘Birdie Pool’
Durty Nellie’s has changed hands and is now the ‘One Off’ bistro and bar.
Once again a fine buffet was put on for all participants.
Thanks goes out to Randy Tusing who did a great job coordinating the flights and tee times.
We look forward to joining with the crew from Durty Nellie’s in 2026.

Single Stableford @ Khao Kheow Golf Club
Rain over the week end restricted the carts to the rough only but apart from that the course was in good shape and the weather was fine although still hot and humid. We played on the ‘B’ and ‘C’ courses. Five flights of 4 competed in today”s event.

Again no rain today, but humid and hot, unfortunately carts were not allowed to go off the cart paths on course was very wet following the heavy storm on Wednesday, made the course a challenge, especially with the greens being fast and with big breaks.

We were back on the bus again at 07:00 with 16 players
Again no rain with carts allowed on the fairways, but treasure Hills is an older course with many mature trees some of whitch were growing in the centre of the fairways, making it a challenging course to play.

Another hot and humid day awaited us as we made our way to the course with 20 players.
We have not played this course for many years but they had a special rate on Tuesdays which although still a bit pricy, the course was worth the extra Baht.
As expected the course was crowded, but we once more completed all flights with out any rain.
Some good scores indicate that the course was playing well.

After a weekend of thunderstorms we were not expecting much but were pleasantly surprised when upon arrival carts were allowed on cart paths and the course was in great shape.
In very hot and humid conditions 20 players hit the course and there was no rain for the time we were on the course playing,

Time marches on, I would like to book the golf courses for Tee times early August, in time to get our preferred times at the 10 courses.
Attached is the list of the proposed courses for this year and I would like those who are going this year to advise the days they hope to play this year.
As usual we are planning a golf day against Durty’s Nellies on the Tuesday 21st (2nd Tuesday) and would like as many as possible to commit playing that day.
Also the “Temple Tour of Bangchang” will be on the first Wednesday on the return trip from Eastern Star Golf Course.
Please advise room requirements if staying at the Baybreeze Hotel.
For any first timers could you please also advise age, nationality and a contact name, relationship and contact name in case of emergency.
